Alana De La Garza, an amazing actress, has left a mark on the television. The year was 1976. De La Garza was born to a Mexican American father and an Irish-American mother from Columbus Ohio. Within a short time she made the move to Texas where she pursued a physical therapy degree at University of Texas. De La Garza moved from Texas to Florida, Orlando and was involved in numerous character roles. This included independent local films, as well as world-wide commercials. The character she played on her Law & Order: LA spinoff was only a few episodes. De La Garza has been nominated to win several awards, including the award for Best Supporting Actress-TV from the Imagen Foundation Awards as well as several ALMA Award nominations. She won an Impact Award in 2008 for her performance that stood out on dramatized television shows from National Hispanic Media Coalition. De La Garza landed a regular role on CSI Miami a few moments after. She was Marisol Delko, the wife of the character of David Caruso Horatio Caine. In the role of Dr. Lena Solis, she was last seen in the NBC drama Do No Harm. The series was canceled after only two episodes.
